Welcome to the Obsidian Mountain Universe Wiki[]

We are a work in progress right now. There are a lot of books, with so much information to cover.

Recent Updates[]

The work is slow as I am a full time student in university. I am working on the Obsidian Mountain Trilogy information first, followed by the Enduring Flame, and then the Dragon Prophecy last. The pages that crossover, the unicorn page for example, will generally also be updated with information in that order as well, with some exceptions. I thank you for your patience.

If anyone would like to help but can't be bothered with the weird formatting that the wiki makes you do sometimes, if you type something up and email the word document to  obsidianuniversewiki@gmail.com  I will look it over and deal with the formatting myself before adding it!

Who We Are[]

A wiki for the books within the Obsidian Mountain Universe. These books include the following works of Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory: The Obsidian Mountain Trilogy (The Outstretched Shadow, To Light a Candle, and When Darkness Falls), the Enduring Flame Trilogy (The Phoenix Unchained, The Phoenix Endangered, and The Phoenix Transformed), and the Dragon Prophecy Trilogy (Crown of Vengeance, Blade of Empire, and Wings of Fate [release TBD]).

About the Authors[]

James Mallory[]

James Mallory is a professional ghostwriter with several books to his credit. Under his own name, he wrote the three-part novelization of the Hallmark Merlin miniseries: The Old Magic, The King's Wizard, and The End of Magic. Born in San Francisco, Mallory attended schools in California and the Midwest before moving to New York to pursue a career in writing. From an early age Mallory has been fascinated both with the Arthurian legends and their historical evolution, an avocation which triggered a lifelong interest in fantasy literature. Mallory's interests include hiking, comparative religion, and cinema.

Mercedes Lackey[]

Mercedes Lackey is the author of the Heralds of Valdemar and Elemental Masters series from DAW books, the Bardic Voices, (in collaboration) the SERRAted Edge, and Bedlam Bards series from Baen Books, and the Halfblood Chronicles from Tor Books, along with many other solo and collaborative works. Her hobbies include needlework, jewelry design, beadwork, and dollmaking. She lives in Oklahoma with her husband, co-author and artist Larry Dixon and far too many parrots for a peaceful household.
